Welcome to my website.
This endeavour, close to my heart,
has been inspired by so many people
that I’ve met over the course of my life.
May they receive my profound gratitude.
Kôsen, my nun Buddhist name, means Happiness – River.
I belong to the Soto Zen tradition, one of the main school of Zen Buddhism in Japan,
in which the practice of zazen -simply sitting- is central.
I encountered the Buddha way over 20 years ago through the practice of zazen and it has continued to inspire me ever since.
I was ordained a nun in 2012 and lived in Buddhist temples in France and Japan for 13 years, immersed in Zen teachings.
Through different forms of encounter, I share the practice of zazen
as well as the Japanese Buddhist chant,
Baika-ryu Eisanka, which conveys the essential teachings of Zen Buddhism.
I am certified
Shihan Go, a
fifth level instructor in the Baika-ryû Eisanka tradition .
What I offer today has grown out of my life experience
and my journey within the Sôtô zen tradition.
The universe offers us this opportunity of human life, but how do we live it truly ?
