Welcome to my website.

This project, close to my heart,

has been inspired by so many people

that I’ve met over the course of my life.

May they receive by profound gratitude.

This project is guided by my profound desire to make the Buddha way known.

Be it with those who already practice it or those who do not yet know it, all are welcome.

Kôsen, my nun Buddhist name, means Happiness – River.

I belong to the Soto Zen lineage, the main school of Zen Buddhism in Japan, known for its practice of simply sitting: “zazen”.

In Japanese, “Za” and “Zen” mean “sitting” and “concentration of the mind”, respectively.

I encountered the Buddha way over 20 years ago through the practice of zazen and it has never stopped inspiring me since. I was ordained a nun in 2012 and have lived in Buddhist temples in France and Japan alongside Zen teachings for 12 years.

Now, I split my time between Europe , the United States, and Japan, where I offer, through various types of encounters, zazen practice and the Japanese Buddhist chant, Baika-ryu Eisanka, which deals with the key teachings of Zen Buddhism.

The universe offers us this opportunity of human life, but how do we live it truly?

If the way of Buddha calls to you, if you wish to reconnect with yourself in benevolence and with respect,

 then let us sit together.
